An optical film for a plasma display panel, a method of manufacturing the optical film, and a plasma display panel using the optical film are provided to form optical absorbing patterns in the inside of a substrate, a reflection preventing layer or a near infrared ray preventing layer, thereby minimizing reflection due to external light by absorbing the external light and improving contrast properties. An optical film for a plasma display panel comprises a substrate(100), a reflection preventing layer(200), an electromagnetic interference shielding layer(300), and a near infrared preventing layer(400). The reflection preventing layer is formed on an upper surface of the substrate. The reflection preventing layer prevents reflection due to external light. The reflection preventing layer reduces diffusion reflection affecting contrast. A light absorbing pattern(250) is formed in the inside of the reflection preventing layer. The light absorbing pattern absorbs external light to minimize reflection due to external light. |
