The invention relates to medicine, namely gastroenterology and may be efficiently used in the treatment of nonspecific ulcerative colitis to persons of elderly age. The method, according to the invention, consists in that concomitantly with the basic therapy, during 10 days, it is daily administered intramuscularly 1ml of 0.5% BioR solution, intravenously 250...300 ml of ozonized 0.9% NaCl solution with ozone concentration of 3 mg/L, and rectally 100à500 cm3 of oxygen and ozone mixture with ozone concentration of 45 mg/L.
