APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING STEERING GEAR SYSTEM OF ICE-BREAKER

PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling steering gear system of an ice-breaker is provided to prevent additional component increase by maintaining the capacity of the existing steering system. CONSTITUTION: A rudder rotating shaft(600) supports a rudder and operates the rotation motion of the rudder. Hydraulic cylinders(602,604) are more connected to a pivot axis. A hydraulic cylinder rotates the rudder rotating shaft at a fixed angle by having the stroke reciprocating motion by the fluid pressure supplied through a hydraulic supply line(606). A control unit(612) controls the fluid pressure of the hydraulic cylinder according to an ice operation mode or an open operation mode of an ice-breaker.
