PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for improving linearity of FMCW(Frequency-modulated continuous wave) radar system are provide to improve the nonlinearly characteristic of FMCW by using the structure of the PLL (Phase Locked Loop) and DDS (Direct Digital Synthesizer). CONSTITUTION: According to the first reference value, the DDS(400b) decomposes the reference frequency. The first decomposition value is created. The filter(400c) eliminates the harmonic and spurious component of the first resolution. According to the secondary reference value, the first frequency divider outputs the comparing frequency. According to the second divider is the third standard value, the output signal of the voltage control oscillator is outputted.
