The device has an outlet housing (6) distributing coolant towards a radiator (4) by a first outlet (14), and towards a bypass pipe (19) by a second outlet (16). The housing distributes the coolant towards a unit heater (5) used for heating a passenger compartment of a vehicle by a third outlet (18). The housing is provided with a thermostatic actuator for piloting opening and closing of the first and second outlets based on a temperature. A closing assembly has check valves for closing the second outlet and piloted by the actuator.
