The apparatus (10) has a transparent light guide (11) lighted by a slice (14) through an emitter with LEDs (18), and with a main rear face (12) including diffusing elements (D) constituted by elongated depressions. An electronic control unit (34) is connected to a light sensor (32) and to the emitter for varying spectrum and intensity of light emitted by the emitter with respect to measurements carried out by the sensor. Reflector elements are arranged on the rear face of the guide and reflect the light diffused by the diffusing elements, towards the guide.
