PURPOSE: A plasma display and a driving method thereof are provided to reduce the error of output gradation halftoning-processed at line load ratio by applying updated output candidate gradation on threshold for halftoning process. CONSTITUTION: A halftoning processor(210) outputs halftoning-processed gradation to a subfield data generator. The subfield data generator produces a sub field data vector indicating light emitting or light non-emitting on a plurality of subfields using the halftoning-processed gradation. A line load ratio calculator(230) calculates a line load ratio vector of a row electrode on the subfield from the sub field data vector. An estimated weighting factor setup unit(240) determines the size of an estimated output weighting factor vector according to the line load ratio vector.
