Reinforced termination for superconductor coil

A coil for producing a magnetic field includes a winding 12 of superposed turns of a superconductor ribbon and is encapsulated in epoxy resin. A conductive connecting piece 30 includes a foot area to which the winding end 19 of the ribbon is soldered and a head area 32 to which the conductor 15 is soldered. The foot area 31 of the connecting piece includes projecting limbs which rest directly on the winding end and are covered in the radial direction of the coil by a reinforcing insert 14 which is encapsulated in the resin and at least partially surrounds the winding.
