PURPOSE: An apparatus for preventing inflow of sand into a drainage gathering box is provided to open and close a drain inlet formed on top the drainage gathering box. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for preventing inflow of sand into a drainage gathering box comprises a drainage gathering box(1). An opening/closing plate holding part(2a) curved with upward tendency. An upper covering board(2) is fixed on the opening/closing plate holding part. An opening/closing plate guide part(3a) is curved and located on top of the sewage outlet of the drainage gathering box. A lower overlaying plate(3) is fixed on the opening/closing plate guide part. A rotary shaft is pivotally installed on the inner lower side of the drainage gathering box. A rotary axis support is fixed on the rotary shaft.
