PURPOSE: A composition promoting adipocyte differentiation of human mesenchymal stem cells is provided to ensure volume and elasticity of the skin and effectively prevent or treat diabetes type 2. CONSTITUTION: A composition for promoting adipocyte differentiation contains Trichosanthis Semen extract or Cannabis Semen extract as an active ingredient. A composition for preventing or treating diabetes contains the Trichosanthis Semen extract or Cannabis Semen extract as an active ingredient. The composition promotes differentiation of human mesenchymal stem cells to adipocytes. The human mesenchymal stem cells are derived from human bone marrow.
