PURPOSE: A side-by-side refrigerator, and a control method of concentration cooling using the same are provided to independently cool storing food within a fridge compartment by installing extra concentrated cooling chamber. CONSTITUTION: A side-by-side refrigerator(1) comprises a concentrated cooling chamber(30), a cool air flow path(13), a first flap, and a second flap. Cool air of a cooler is flowed into the concentrated cooling chamber by a concentrated cooling fan, and the inside temperature of the concentrated cooling chamber is independently controlled. The first flap separates or connects a fridge compartment and the cool air flow path. The second flap separates or connects the concentrated cooling chamber and the cool air flow path.
