<p>PURPOSE: A transient suppression method for a boost regulator is provided to supply enough headroom for an LED string by including an LED driver controller and a voltage regulator. CONSTITUTION: An inductor(207) includes load current. A switching transistor(232) reacts to switching control signals. An integrator generates reference voltage and compensation voltage reacting to the voltage of a bottom node(228) of an LED string. The coupled circuit combines the offset of the compensation voltage in respond to load current and compensation voltage through the inductor. A summing circuit(416) adds up compensation voltage. A latch(418) generates switching control signals reacting to first control signals and leading edge blank signals.</p> |
