PURPOSE: A mobile communications terminal capable of a convenient call connection and a call connection method thereof are provided to connect immediately a call to a person which is related to a memo or a received SMS(Short Message Service) message while a user reads the memo or the received SMS message, or writes an SMS message. CONSTITUTION: A storage unit(10) stores the contact addresses of the acquaintances of a user. A character recognition unit(20) recognizes characters displayed on a display unit. A search unit(30) searches characters coinciding with the stored contact address among the recognized characters and makes a hyperlink. A connection unit(40) connects a call to the contact address corresponding to characters selected by the user among the hyperlinked characters. A menu providing unit(50) provides a menu including a voice/video call connection, a message and a data transfer connection for the characters selected by the user.
