摘要 PURPOSE: A turbo charger of an engine is provided to improve the degree of freedom in the arrangement of an engine by reducing the charging space while improving the specific output of an engine by supplying the compressed intake air at multi-stage. CONSTITUTION: A turbo charger of an engine is composed of a base turbine(3), a base compressor(7) an additional compressor(9), a clutch(11), and a gear shift unit(13). The base turbine is connected to an exhaust pipe(1) of the engine to be rotated by the exhaust gas. The base compressor is connected to the base turbine with a shaft and supplies the compressed air to an intake pipe(5) of the engine by compressing the intake air. The additional compressor is rotated by the rotary power of the base compressor and supplies the compressed air to the intake pipe of the engine by re-compressing the compressed intake air. The clutch varies the condition supplying the rotary power of the base compressor to the additional compressor. The gear shift unit supplies the shifted rotary power to the additional compressor by shifting the rotary power from the base compressor.
