PURPOSE: An ionic component separating device which divides ionic component from the water and a method thereof are provided to supply the drinking water after filtering the excessive ionic component dissolving in the water. CONSTITUTION: An ionic component separating device(10) comprises a main inlet(15), a pipe(20), a magnet, electrodes(70a,70b,72a,72b,74a,74b), and a main outlet(40). The purified water flows in into the main inlet. The water passes through the pipe. The magnet makes the magnetic field in the vertical direction meeting with the pipe at a right angle. The electric field applies electric field in both sides of the pipe and maintains ion separating with the magnetic field. The water is exhausted through the main outlet.
