The invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, in particular to a method for slime fractionation, and can be applied for preliminary granulation of the grinded materials, raw material or waste intended for further processing, including agglomeration. The method for slime fractionation includes slime pelletizing in the mixture with lime materials in the amount of 10-15 wt. % and moisture of 15-30 wt. %, drying, holding of the mixture in natural conditions for 1-2 months, following grinding thereof into the certain fractional size. The invention provides increasing agglomerate charge permeability from the formed mixture, increasing the height of the sinter level and increasing productivity of sintering machine.
