PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for delivering contents are provided to minimize the load and contents storage capacity of a content service providing server. CONSTITUTION: A content storing unit(412) stores the contents to be transmitted to a client, and a shared Hash function storage unit(400) stores the determination information for the storages. When the contents requested from the client are not stored in a content storage unit, a shared Hash function operating unit(410) determines a content transmission device that is supposed to transmit the contents. The determined content transmission device transmits the contents.
