APPARATUS FOR DISTINGUISHING LIVING BODY FINGERPRINT AND METHOD THEROF

PURPOSE: An apparatus for distinguishing a living body fingerprint and a method thereof are provided to use the variation in colors of fingerprints depending on the pressure variation in order to judge whether a corresponding finger print is a living body fingerprint or not. CONSTITUTION: A color image sensor(135) obtains a color fingerprint image from an image formed in an optical lens system, and a biometric unit(153) calculates color variation information regarding to the variation in the color information of fingerprints obtained in the first and second points of time. The color variation information is judged as living body fingerprints by the biometric unit when the color variation satisfies the color variation depending on contact pressure variation.
