PURPOSE: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device is provided not to insert a light guide plate into the lower part of the upper plate of a lower container, thereby simplifying the manufacture and assembly of the LCD device. CONSTITUTION: A light guide plate(141) guides light. A light source(131a) is arranged in at least one side of the light guide plate. A lower container comprises a bottom plate(171), a side wall(172a), and an upper plate(173). The light guide plate and the light source are mounted to the bottom plate. The sidewall of the lower container surrounds the bottom plate. The upper plate of the lower container is bent from the sidewall of the lower container. The upper plate of the lower container is not overlapped with the light guide plate.
