<p>Intended is to improve the steadiness of a pedal operation of a pedal-operated device while reducing either the wall footing feel at the footing starting time of a footed operator such as an accelerator pedal or a physical unease at a returning time. The pedal-operated device comprises a pedal arm, a support housing, a spring for urging the pedal arm in a returning direction, and first and second shims for generating first and second drags individually against the relative pivotal movement of the pedal arm. The maximum static friction force of a frictional engagement portion of the second shim is higher than the maximum static friction force of a frictional engagement portion of the first shim. The second shim has a region, in which the elastic modulus is smaller than that of the first shim, in view of the elastic deformation at the time when the pedal arm moves relative to the support housing.</p> |
