PURPOSE: A back light assembly, a display device comprising the same, and a control method thereof are provided to convert DC power into output power in a power supply unit, thereby improving efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A backlight assembly comprises a DC(Direct Current) converter(200), a light source unit(100) and a power supply unit(300). The DC converter converts input AC(Alternating Current) power to various levels of DC power. The DC converter comprises a PFC(Power Factor Correction). The light source unit comprises one or more point light sources(110). According to input power, the light source unit emits light. The power supply unit changes the DC power into output power. The power supply unit supplies the output power to the light source unit.
