TAP HOLE PLUG FOR CONVERTER

PURPOSE: An outlet plug for a converter is provided to increase the frictional force between the plug and a steel-tapping hole by using plastic refractory around the contiguous area of the steel-tapping hole and plug. CONSTITUTION: An outlet plug for a converter comprises an external skin(110), a supporting part(130) and an elastic member(140). The external skin is touched with the molten steel and slag. The supporting part supports the external skin in the inside of the external skin. The elastic member is installed on the supporting part in order to be pressurized. The elastic member pressurizes the supporting part, and is based on the inner wall of the steel-tapping hole. An arresting apparatus dissolves with the heat of the slag and molten steel. The elastic member is inserted to the steel-tapping hole. The fixing equipment dissolves with the heat of the slag and molten steel.
