PURPOSE: A method for setting an antenna direction of a broadcasting receiver is provided to measure a receiving channel environment according to a rotation angle of an indoor/outdoor antenna, thereby letting a user know an optimum antenna direction. CONSTITUTION: If an antenna direction setting command is inputted, a message directing the antenna setting direction is displayed on a screen(S2). If a confirmation command is inputted, preset channels are successively turned, a receiving state of each tuned channel and the receiving state is stored together with an antenna direction(S8). If the receiving state information about the specific antenna direction is obtained, a message indicating the next setting antenna direction is displayed on the screen(S10). If the receiving state information is obtained for all directions, the optimum antenna direction is determined based on the receiving state information and displayed on the screen(S11). |
