PURPOSE: A power cut off device and a control method thereof are provided to prevent a PL accident in advance by predicting an abnormal state rapidly. CONSTITUTION: A power cut off device comprises a sensor part and a control part. The sensor part senses the level of DC voltage of an input power(300). The control part decides whether the level of DC voltage is reached to an abnormal voltage level(310). When the level of DC voltage is reached to an abnormal voltage level and maintained, the input power is cut off(320,330).
