PURPOSE: A method and a system for managing contents by using a peer to peer network are provided to transmit the packaging information for contents to a user terminal so that the user may packetize and store the contents. CONSTITUTION: A content management device(252) generates packaging information for packetizing the contents, and the content management device generates a list for user terminal that stores contents. A service providing device(251) transmits the packaging information to a first user terminal. A licenser device(253) issues a license for the contents according to the contents request.
