PURPOSE: A non volatile memory device and method of operating the same are provided to reduce remarkably the number of page buffers to be scanned. CONSTITUTION: The page buffer part(110) comprises a plurality of page buffers. The IO part(120) comprises a plurality of IO blocks(121). The logic combination part(130) performs logic combination pass/fail signal outputted in the IO part. According to the pass / fail signal outputted in the logic combination part, the controller(140) controls the various operations of the non-volatile memory device.
