PURPOSE: A nitric oxide removal apparatus having a branch part and a nitric oxide removal method using thereof are provided to easily remove the nitric oxide by making the reducing atmosphere in a catalyst filter installed in one of branch pipes periodically. CONSTITUTION: A nitric oxide removal apparatus having a branch part is provided to a first branch pipe(141), a second branch pipe, a branch control valve(121), a reducing agent supply unit(126), and a low oxygen containing exhaust gas supply unit(128). The first branch pipe in which a first catalyst filter(132) occluding the nitric oxide is installed is connected to an exhaust pipe. The second branch pipe in which a second catalyst filter(134) occluding the nitric oxide is installed is connected to an exhaust pipe. The branch control valve is installed in a branch part(145) in which the first and second branch pipes are divided to connect the exhaust pipe to the first and second branch pipes. The reducing agent supply unit sprays the reducing agent to the first and second branch pipes. The low oxygen containing exhaust gas supply unit supplies the low oxygen containing exhaust gas to the first and second branch pipes and comprises a tank(125) in which the low oxygen containing exhaust gas is filled.
