PURPOSE: A six-axis arm device for a service robot is provided to protect the drive motor from overload by cutting off power supply to the drive motor in the event of overload or external force application. CONSTITUTION: A first-axis arm unit(6) includes a first drive motor(1) and a drive shaft(4). A second-axis arm unit(12) is connected and articulated to the first-axis arm unit. A third-axis arm unit(16) is connected and articulated to the second-axis arm unit at the right angle. A fourth-axis arm unit(18) is pivotally connected to the third-axis arm unit. A fifth-axis arm unit(20) is connected and articulated to the fourth-axis arm unit. A sixth-axis arm unit(25) is pivotally connected to the fifth-axis arm unit. A grip portion(24) is detachably installed on the end of the sixth-axis arm unit.
