PURPOSE: An inverter system and a driving method thereof are provided to reduce memory waste of an inverter memory unit by receiving and storing parameter information from an external card connected to the inverter. CONSTITUTION: An external card(320) stores specific parameter information. An inverter(310) includes a memory and a controller. The memory stores the commonly used parameter information and the parameter information stored at the external card. The controller controls to receive the specific parameter information from the external card and stores the information at the memory.
