Disclosed is a laser processing method wherein generation of undesired cut substance is suppressed and contamination of the surface of a processed object is reduced when the object, which is composed of a polymer material, is processed with a laser light. Also disclosed is a laser processed article. Specifically disclosed is a laser processing method wherein an object composed of a polymer material is processed by using a laser light. This laser processing method is characterized in that the object is irradiated with the laser light in such a manner that the optical axis of the laser light is inclined at a predetermined angle toward the processing direction relative to the vertical direction of the object.
