PURPOSE: A security management method for using a user authentication and terminal authentication of an IPv6 base network and an apparatus thereof are provided to manage an access record of the terminal and allocate the address is assigned to the user. CONSTITUTION: In case the user authentication and terminal authentication of the terminal requesting the address assignment succeed, an address allocation module(220) assigns the internet protocol version 6 address to a terminal. The IPv6 address is matched with terminal identification information. A user authentication module(210) performs the user authentication by using the user identification of the terminal. A terminal authentication module(230) performs the terminal authentication of the terminal by using the terminal identification information included in the address assignment request.
