PURPOSE: A composition containing diiodomethyl-p-tolylsulfone for wet tissue is provided to maintain antibacterial effect with safety. CONSTITUTION: A composition for wet tissue contains 0.0008-0.02 weight% of diiodomethyl-p-tolylsulfone in a cyclodextrin clathrate compound. The clathrate compound is produced by adding diiodomethyl-p-tolylsulfone and cyclodextrin, stirring, filtering and selectively freeze-drying. An alkali of NaOH and NaBH4 are added to stabilize. A solvent is water, alcohol, acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, ethyl acetate or pyridine. The cyclodextrin is methyl-B-cyclodextrin.
