<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clothes dryer capable of reducing the distance to clothes by an air flow direction changing device with small ventilation resistance, capable of supplying air flow in a wide area and capable of efficiently drying clothes with small energy. <P>SOLUTION: The distance between the air flow direction changing device 31 to the clothes can be reduced by using the air flow direction changing device 31 configured to project from a surface panel position 32 of the body of the clothes dryer when the device is rotated through an angle of 180 degrees. Attenuation of the air flow coming from the air flow direction changing device 31 until the air flow reaches the clothes is small, so that the time of drying clothes can be reduced.
