<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method for 3D digitalization of objects which records and combines plural camera images of an object to determine 3D coordinates of the object. <P>SOLUTION: In this method, first 2D feature points 11, 12, 13, 21, 22 and 23 of the object 1 are determined from images of the object 1. The 3D coordinates of these 2D feature points are determined. Two or more sets of 2D points-associated groups 31, 32 and 33 consisting of 2D feature points mutually-associated between one image and another image are determined. Two or more 2D points-associated groups among these above ones are selected to determine 3D conversion targets. Quality of these 3D conversion targets is determined by reference to the 3D coordinates of the 2D feature points, so as to determine valid 3D feature points among those 3D conversion targets. Then, the 3D coordinates of the above valid 3D feature points are used to combine camera images of the object 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
