<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate driver for a liquid crystal display device, the gate driver including a large number of shift registers and having structure allowing a defective shift register to be efficiently repaired upon the defection of one shift register, and to provide a method of repairing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The gate driver includes n pieces of the shift registers SR1 to SRn and a redundant repair shift register SR(r), wherein n is a positive integer. The redundant repair shift register SR(r) is arrayed on the (n+1)'th position. Further, in the gate driver, a number of clock signal lines CL for supplying clock signals CLK1, CLK2 on clock signal terminals CLK of the respective shift registers SR1 to SRn and SR(r) are included. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
