PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten time to return a bill kept in a temporary repository to an operator when operation to cancel a payment transaction is received. SOLUTION: A bill charged by a customer into a bill charging chamber 131 of a customer service section 13 is discriminated in a discrimination section 15, The temporary repository 133 which accumulates and keeps a bill discriminated as acceptable money in the discrimination section 15 before storing in the bill storages 16a-16c is provided in a customer services section 13. When receiving an instruction to cancel the paying-in processing, it is made possible to return the bill kept in the temporary repository 133 to the customer by opening a shutter 12 of the customer services section 13.
