<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion state determination device for an internal combustion engine capable of accurately determining a fuel supply state and combustion state of the internal combustion engine with a simple and inexpensive constitution. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The combustion state determination device for an internal combustion engine comprises a rotation speed change information acquisition means (an ECU 4, a rotary pulser 2 and a rotary sensor 3) for acquiring information (ΔT) relating to a change (ΔES) in rotation speed ES of the internal combustion engine 1 in an expansion stroke, and a combustion state determination means for determining a combustion state of the cylinder by comparing a preset threshold with the rotation speed change information (ΔT) acquired by the rotation speed change information acquisition means.
