PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a teleconverter lens that has a short entire optical length, has less changes in various aberrations when being attached to a master lens, and has high optical performance. SOLUTION: The teleconverter lens attached to the object side of the master lens includes a front group of positive refractive power and a rear group of negative refractive power in that order from an object side to an image plane side. The front group has a positive first lens whose object side face has a convex meniscus shape and a positive second lens whose object side face has a convex meniscus shape. The rear group has one positive lens and a negative lens whose image plane side face has a concave shape. The curvature radii R11 and R12 on the object and image plane sides, respectively, of the first lens and the curvature radii R21 and R22 on the object and image plane sides, respectively, of the second lens are appropriately set.
