<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printer and a printing method each further uniformly drying a medium. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The inkjet printer includes an inkjet head 26 for ejecting ink onto the medium 50, a wave guide 100 allowing the ink-ejected medium 50 to pass through the inside of the wave guide, and a magnetron 150 for supplying electromagnetic waves into the wave guide 100. A controller 40 controls the intensity of the electromagnetic waves to be supplied from the magnetron 150 according to the moisture content of the medium 50 detected by a moisture-content detection sensor 62 or the like. The electromagnetic waves supplied into the wave guide 100 therefore enables the printed medium 50 to be dried efficiently by an uninterrupted processes. In addition, since the controller 40 controls the intensity of the electromagnetic waves to be supplied from the magnetron 150 according to the moisture content of the medium 50 detected by the moisture-content detection sensor 62 or the like, the drying degree of the medium 50 can be controlled uniformly.
