<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an address label to be automatically pasted on an envelope. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A pasting position x for the address label is set on the way of a conveying path 40, and the envelope is delivered in the conveying path by delivering means 50. Address label feeding means 70 is arranged on the lower side of the pasting position. A mount 81 is wound on a releasing roller 74 provided on the feeding means 70 to release the address label from the mount 81, and the end part of the address label released is brought into contact with the label pasting face of the envelope. The address label is pasted on the label pasting face with a pressure-sensitive adhesive applied on the address label. Under the condition that the address label is pasted, the envelope is delivered to a discharging tray side while the envelope is furthermore held between a pair of rollers 52a and 52b. During this delivering operation, the whole face of the address label is pasted on the label pasting face. As the address label and the envelope are discharged under the condition that they are mutually pressed by being held between the discharging rollers, the envelope is discharged to the discharging tray side under the condition that the address label is surely pasted on the label pasting face.
