<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rocking type exercise apparatus devised so as to train the grip force of the toes of a user as well. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The rocking type exercise apparatus 10 includes: a seat part 11 where a user straddles and sits down; an exercise mechanism 12 for rocking the seat part 11; and stirrups 15 to be hung at the right and left positions of the seat part 11, for a user to mount the feet. On the foot mounting part 15b of the stirrups 15, the projected line 18 of such a height that the user can grip it with the toes M is provided. By having the user hold the projected line 18 provided on the foot mounting part 15b of the stirrups 15 with the toes M, the grip force of the toes M of the user is trained as well.
