PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time to determine the number of packed coins. SOLUTION: An automatic money exchanger 100 includes: a wagon part 250 for storing a drawable denomination-based tray 300; a first mark detection sensor 252, a second mark detection sensor 254, and a packed coin detection sensor 256 for measuring the length of a non-storage space in which no packed coin is stored when the denomination-based tray 300 moves; and a control part 212 for acquiring the number of the stored packed coins by using the length of the non-storage space.
