PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a serial interface device that is flexibly adaptive even to parallel outputs differing in bus width without unnecessarily increasing the device scale nor cost. SOLUTION: A serial I/F 3 has: an S/P conversion unit 31 which converts SDATA into m-bit PDATA according to SCLK; an FIFO unit 33 which stores the PDATA; an FIFO write unit 32 which writes the PDATA to the FIFO unit 33 according to FCLK; an output control unit 34 which reads stored data of the FIFO unit 33 by (m) bits or (n) bits at a time according to PCLK; a frequency dividing circuit 35a which frequency-divides the SCLK by (m) to generate the FCLK, a frequency dividing circuit 35b (35c) which frequency-divides the SCLK by (n); and a selector 36 which selects one of both the frequency-division signals to generate the PCLK. The selector 36 changes signal paths for parallel data read out of the FIFO unit 33 according to the number of output bits of the parallel data. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
