PIGMENT DISPERSION, COLORED COMPOSITION, COLOR FILTER, LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND ORGANIC EL DISPLAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colored composition etc. in which a highly microparticulate pigment can be efficiently dispersed with a small additive amount, and which has high viscosity stability and substantially avoids "chipping" of a formed pixel.

SOLUTION: A pigment dispersion containing a pigment, a solvent and a dispersant is provided. The pigment dispersion further contains an aromatic carboxylic acid compound. The dispersant is a dispersant comprising a block copolymer consisting of A blocks having an affinity for a solvent and B blocks having a nitrogen atom-containing functional group, wherein the block copolymer has an amine value of 80-150 mgKOH/g (in terms of available solid content). The colored composition contains the pigment dispersion. Uses of the colored composition are also provided.
