<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized desolvating apparatus used in an inductively coupled plasma analysis method, or the like, which does not cause reduction in the sensitivity or in the memory effects, due to the adhesion to a tube and the obstruction due to oxides and has high-speed response of analysis signal. <P>SOLUTION: A part or the whole of the injector tube of an inductive coupling plasma torch with which a carrier gas comes into contact is constituted of a solvent vapor, transmitting material to selectively transmit the solvent vapor evaporated from the liquid droplets of a sample during the passing period of the carrier gas through the injector tube. Furthermore, a flow channel for sucking the solvent vapor transmitted through the solvent vapor transmitting material under reduced pressure or pushing out the solvent vapor by a purge gas is formed to the injector tube, to provide an apparatus for efficiently performing desolvation, immediately prior to the liquid droplets of the sample being introduced into a plasma. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
