<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which determines the impression of an image and displays a result, together with the image so as to present the result to a user in a manner which is easy to understand visually. Ž<P>SOLUTION: As the imaging apparatus, a digital camera 100 comprises: an imaging unit 18 for detecting an image of a subject and outputting the image of the subject; an evaluation image storage unit 51 for storing the image captured by the imaging unit 18; a display unit 17 for displaying the image; a learning result storage unit 22 storing a learning result, based on a learning image for every multiple impression labels registered beforehand; an impression label determining unit 11 provided for each of the plurality of impression labels for reading the image stored in the evaluation image storage unit 51, calculating the feature amount of the image, and determining a degree of proximity of an impression of the image with respect to the impression label, on the basis of the feature amount and the learning result stored in the learning result storage unit 22; and a determination result output unit 14 for displaying the degree of proximity of the impression, with respect to the impression label determined by the impression label determining unit 11 on the display unit 17, together with the image.
