<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron gun structure and a microwave tube suppressing an interval change between a cathode and grid in operation and exhibiting high stability and reliability. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A main part 11 of the electron gun structure includes, for example, the cathode 1 for emitting electrons, the grid 2 oppositely arranged to a front surface of the cathode 1, an anode 3 arranged in front of the grid 2, and a heater 4 for heating the cathode 1. An inner circumference surface of a cathode sleeve 101, formed of a cylindrical conductor for supporting the cathode 1, covers an outer circumference end surface of the cathode 1. The cathode 1 and the grid 2 are formed in an integrated structure by joining a plurality of grid support tongue pieces 102 radially projected from an outer circumference surface of the cathode sleeve 101, and a grid flange 204 on an edge end of the grid 2 at least through an insulation layer 205.
