An ultrasound diagnostic device is provided with a memory unit that stores reference three-dimensional volume data of an examinee acquired with an image pickup device, an ultrasound probe inserted into a body cavity of the examinee and capable of scanning in the radial direction, an ultrasound image generation unit that generates an ultrasound tomographic image in accordance with a reflecting echo signal from the ultrasound probe, a position detector that detects a position and a posture of the ultrasound probe in accordance with a sensor set at the ultrasound probe, an image generation unit that generates a scanning position mark indicative of an ultrasound scanning position in a tomographic surface in parallel with a traveling direction of the ultrasound probe from reference three-dimensional volume data of the memory unit in accordance with an output of the position detector, and a display unit that displays the ultrasound tomographic image and scanning position mark. |
