An adjustable light beam lighting device (1), particularly for a flashlight, has in succession along an axis (A) at least one light source (6), preferably a LED, a collimator (7) collimating the light emitted by the source into a collimated beam, and a first optical element (11) and a second optical element (12) provided with respective arrays of side-by-side lenses (21, 22) arranged according to a network pattern. The lenses (21) of the first element (11) face respective lenses (22) of the second element (12) and are shaped so as to converge respective portions of collimated beam, and the lenses (22) of the second element (12) are shaped so as to diverge the light from respective lenses (21) of the first element (11). A mask (30) is arranged between the elements (11, 12) and shaped so as to laterally screen the light exiting from each lens (21) of the first element (11) and to essentially convey the light exiting from each lens (21) of the first element (11) only on the facing lens (22) of the second element (12), thus screening the adjacent lenses. A movement mechanism (10) moves the elements (11, 12) with respect to each other by a movement of translation only along the axis (A) to vary the width of the beam emitted by the device (1). |
