<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a MAC spoofed frame or a loop frame generated by a user from obstructing communication and to report the source port ID of a fraud to a network administrator. <P>SOLUTION: A MAC frame forwarding apparatus 20 registers a transmission source MAC address and an input port ID in frame reception. The MAC frame forwarding apparatus has a frame forwarding management table 2510 and a frame discarding management table 2520. The frame discarding management table 2520 has a MAC address to be discarded, in the case of matching in comparison with the transmission source MAC address of a received frame, for discarding the frame and a target port ID and counts the number of discarded frames. A management apparatus 10 discards the received frame if the transmission source MAC address matches the MAC address to be discarded in frame reception and counts the number of discarded frames. If the number of discarded frames exceeds a predetermined level, the port ID, the MAC address and the number of discarded frames are reported to the management apparatus 10, and the source port of the fraud is reported to the administrator. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
